He makes all things new...

so, i have been a t-total slacker with the whole blogging thing for about a year now. but 2011 is going to be different.

i just got home from the esther experience a few hours ago and am completely and totally exhausted and inspired. and i can honestly say that i enjoyed this year as a volunteer more than i did as a participant in 2008...

for those of you who don't know the story of esther, she was just an average gal. but because of her devotion, she found favor with God. and because of her obedience, He brought her to a royal position to save her people. one average gal was able to save the entire jewish people because she was willing to risk her life to save her people. one. average. gal.

this weekend, God did something awesome. he brought nearly 100 average gals to asheville, nc to court them. to pursue them. and to heal them up and show them how He can use their stories to be a part of His bigger story.

after hearing so many of them share what He has done in their hearts over the last 3 days, i have to say that the thing i take away, more than any other, was this: He makes all things new. not some things. not a few things. ALL things.

thank you, Lord, that you are trustworthy. that we can rest in the fact that You are for us and not against us. that You have plans to prosper us and not to harm us. and that You are big enough to carry even our heaviest burdens.
